GOODWIN MEMORIAL BAPTIST TRUSTEES
Mission/Description: The Trustee Ministry serves God and the church family
as the Fiduciary and Operation Managers of the
Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church.
In this respect, Trustees serve in all leadership capacities and represent
the congregation on the Joint Board.
Scriptural Reference:
Acts 6:3 "Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of
good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint
over this business.
Meeting Day(s) and time(s): 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM
Special Criteria: Trustees should be trustworthy, responsible,
accountable, and in good standing with the church.
Attend Sunday School, Bible Study on a regular basis, and tithe.
Other Information: Responsible for overseeing and maintaining all physical
(tangible and intangible) and fiscal assets of The Goodwin Memorial Baptist
Church. Oversee, monitor and maintain the financial well-being of the
church, along with the Budget & Finance Committee.
Trustees’ responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the
administration of all church property and material assets, assuring
compliance per the church constitution and by-laws. The Trustee
Chairperson serves as the only "authorized" signor on behalf of Goodwin
Memorial Baptist Church and external organizations, agencies and/or
entities.
