The mission of Deacons is to serve Christ as a proclaimer of the gospel, to be a caring and compassionate ministry, and builders of Christian fellowship. Deacons are to be examples or models for fellow Christians to follow.  We have adopted a team concept in working with our Pastor to become partners, working together for God in becoming spiritual men on a spiritual mission.

Ezekiel 36:27 (KJV) And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statues, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

The Deacons meet the Monday after the first Sunday at 7 pm.

The mission of the Deaconess is to become a partner in Christian service with the Deacons.  We share a divine responsibility to proclaim the gospel to believers and unbelievers, provide care for church members and other persons of the community.  We help build and maintain church fellowship, and provide Christian leadership in order to help the church attain its spiritual mission.

Proverbs 31:30 (KJV) Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

Goodwin provides child-focused teachings of the Bible which are flexible friendly and fun. As well as our church members, we welcome all visitors between the ages of 6-12. Through Children’s Church programs, boys and girls in our church and community can build healthy relationships with caring Christian adults, peers, and most importantly, Jesus Christ. Our Christian Education team actively promotes the values of Goodwin to our children, added with the understanding of church etiquette; and respect for God. Each child should come to Children’s Church prepared with their bibles. Any child who does not have a bible will be given one to help them connect with our Lord. The Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church (GMBC) Music Ministry is designed to praise God in song, and to proclaim the word of God through music. The Music Ministry strives to magnify and glorify Jesus Christ in every musical expression we deliver and everything we do in our daily lives.
